Description

Grape variety(ies): Very strict plot-by-plot selection of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre (oak-aged).

Soil: Clay-limestone soil.

Temperature / Cellaring: Best enjoyed for its fruitiness within the first three years; this wine will reach its full potential after a few years in the cellar. Between 3 and 7 years. Serving temperature: 16–18°C.

Our tasting notes: Deep garnet colour. Nose of jammy red berries and garrigue spices. The palate is full-bodied and smooth.

Food and wine pairing advice: Perfect with wild rabbit and mushrooms, this wine pairs beautifully with all your red meats or game in sauce, as well as cheeses of all kinds.

This cuvée pays tribute to Max Rouquette (1908–2005), a writer, poet and illustrious figure from the village of Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian, who dedicated his life to promoting, preserving and safeguarding Occitan culture and literature. This wine is an invitation to journey into the heart of his world, which is both powerful and elegant.
